Summer Camp 2012 - Theatre and Film
ABOUT OUR PROGRAM
The Theatre West movie and theatre camp has been providing quality
theatrical and film training since 1993.
We accept only 14 students per week maximum. This allows our students to work within a strong group dynamic, while being able to benefit from the personal coaching and training provided by our camp director and staff.
Students can expect to explore various theatrical mediums such as creative movement, improv, neutral and character mask, emotions, clowning, voice and diction, music and rhythm, and body awareness.
Students will also get hands on experience working on an advanced film project. Learn basic on camera techniques like how to develop and organize your character for continuity when shooting out of sequence, or how to define emotions, how to play to the camera, and how to make your marks when it comes to blocking assignments in or around a complex set.
It's all about having fun, and about bringing out the creativity and imagination in each of our young performers, and to encourage them to express themselves with more confidence and clarity.
Check out our itinerary for an idea of how your camp week would look like.
